A woman has been arrested following a blaze at a sports ground in the Midlands. Officers have appealed for information after the blaze took place on Tuesday morning (November 4). The fire took place at the old Stafford Rugby Club sometime between 8.30am and 9am. Staffordshire Police has appealed for anyone with information to get in touch. Anyone that could help enquiries have been urged to call 101 quoting incident number 143 of November 4. A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: " Stafford officers are currently investigating a fire that occurred this morning, November 4, 2025, at the old Stafford Rugby Club off Martin Drive. "The incident took place between 8.30am and 9am. "A female has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in custody. "Officers are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of Martin Drive between 8.30am and 9am that may have witnessed anything unusual near the area. "If you have information that could assist, please contact Staffordshire police on 101 quoting incident number 143 of November 4 or get in touch via our website staffordshire.police.uk."
