He said that consuming the supplement together with a full, fatty meal is what actually helps the supplement enter the bloodstream and be utilised. He stated, “Big meal, small vitamin – that’s the combination that really works,” illustrating that it is more about the timing and the combination than the amount of the dose. Without fat in the diet, the body is unable to carry out the necessary processes for the vitamin, which results in diminished absorption and the benefits going to waste. A pretty simple change, such as taking your supplement together with food, can go a long way in making Vitamin D more efficient in the body.
