Max Worton, age 16, from Wollaston, Stourbridge has started work on the company’s Persimmon Homes site – Coseley Phases 2 and 3 - a development on Sedgley Road West in Dudley. Max is currently studying for his Level 2 apprenticeship in Bricklaying Commenting on his appointment Max Worton said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Persimmon Homes Central. I am joining a great team, and I am particularly looking forward to developing my bricklaying skills further and to working on my first site at Coseley.” Rakesh Mal, Site Manager at Persimmon Homes Central said: “We are delighted that Max has joined the team at an exciting time. We want to actively encourage more motivated and driven apprentices and technical trainees to join us in construction roles and build a successful career at Persimmon.” Richard Freeman, Employer Engagement Manager, Dudley College of Technology said: “We are proud that Max has embarked on an exciting new apprenticeship opportunity with Persimmon Homes. Max began his journey at the Dudley College Construction Centre after leaving school, where he consistently demonstrated the dedication, attitude, and work ethic required to succeed in the construction industry. Recognising his potential, Max seized the opportunity to join Persimmon Homes as an apprentice, marking a significant step forward in his career. Dudley College is delighted to support Max on this journey and looks forward to working closely with Persimmon Homes to nurture emerging talent in the sector.” Max commented: “My ambition is to utilise the training resources Persimmon offers to further develop my skills and knowledge and to build an exciting career in this industry.”
