Apex Legends season 27, named Amped, is almost here and packed full of content. The action shifts to a rejuvenated Olympus, which now boasts sharper rotations and bolder combat. Some reworks for Valkyrie, Rampart, and Horizon will bring a new dynamic to your gameplay, paired with a new attachment for the Alternator that will deal more damage at close range. There’s a new update on the wall-movement mechanism and major balance updates. Here’s a complete breakdown of Apex Legends season 27 early patch notes. Apex Legends season 27 early patch notes Olympus Rising Olympus returns to the map rotation with a massive overhaul. It now has new Points of Interest—Somers University, Gravity Engine, Stabilizer, and Dockyard. Somers University replaces Orbital Cannon with towering structures, open lifts, and a tribute to Horizon’s son, Newton. Gravity Engine now powers the heart of Olympus, replacing Energy Depot with high-vertical engagements and zip rails lacing through the area. The new Stabilizer platform floats in the sky, keeping Olympus aligned while offering creative fights on fragmented rocks. Down near Hydroponics, the Dockyard mixes familiar terrain with renovated vertical opportunities for intense skirmishes. Much of Olympus has been reshaped to smooth out gameplay. Long open fields have been reduced, and cover in risky choke points has been increased. Valkyrie, Rampart, and Horizon buffs In season 27, Valkyrie’s jetpack has been supercharged. She now launches faster and flies further. Rampart’s tactical fortifications get an upgrade, which now features roofed Amped Walls for full bunker setups. By dealing damage, she can charge her defenses and unleash that firepower with even more aggression. Horizon rounds out the trio with new Lift versatility, giving her better control to either float gracefully from her ability or slam into the ground for surprise repositioning. Double Tap Alternator The Alternator has a Double Tap Hop-Up attachment that can transform the SMG into a devastating short-range monster. Each trigger pull fires both barrels in blistering sync, instantly upping your time-to-kill during close encounters. If you play fast and live for high-risk rushes, this weapon’s the new favorite in your loadout. Mantle Boost movement mastery The movement meta evolves once again with the addition of Mantle Boost, a new traversal mechanic that rewards precise timing and positioning. You can activate it when climbing walls or ledges to launch yourself forward, gaining explosive entry angles or escapes. There will be a visual indicator to nail the timing. Balanced drop zone loot in Ranked Ranked play gets a crucial adjustment this season. After extensive community feedback, loot balance across fixed drop zones has been normalized. No matter where your team spawns, you’ll find fairer quality loot pools that make every match start more consistently. Hardcore grinders will appreciate that variance still exists for spontaneity’s sake, but the extremes have been toned down to ensure every zone feels worthy of contention. Trident tune-ups The Trident receives a complete handling overhaul with smoother control, enhanced boost response, and the ability to glide over rough terrain. Players can now deal low-impact ramming damage when colliding with opponents, and each Trident has its own dedicated health pool. This means your vehicle can be destroyed without splitting damage between riders, and you can now pick off enemies directly from their Trident mid-battle. Season 27 also introduces new Amped Launch Challenges available for only the first two weeks. Complete them to unlock Amped Seasonal Packs, test the new Wishlist system, and chase the Mythic “Bird of Prey” R-99 skin.
