Ant Anstead shared a social media post about co-parenting alongside his ex-wife, HGTV star Christina Haack, just weeks prior to his soccer accident that resulted in surgery. E! News reported that Anstead took to his Instagram account on October 11 to share a picture that showed him and Haack visiting their 6-year-old son Hudson’s elementary school classroom. In the caption of the post, Anstead celebrated his and Haack’s parenting skills. “Teacher conference week… Hudzo is thriving! I’m gonna give us a pat on the back! We doing a great job with this little chap! Nice work mum x,” captioned Anstead, who divorced Haack in 2021. Fans Applauded Ant Anstead & Christina Haack on Instagram In the post’s comments section, several fans applauded Anstead and Haack, who wed in 2018, for their ability to successfully co-parent Hudson. “Love seeing y’all on good terms, co parenting your beautiful son. Everyone wins when mom and dad get along!” wrote a commenter. “You, Renee, and Christina are doing an amazing job!” added a fan, in reference to Anstead’s longtime girlfriend, Renée Zellweger. “So nice to see a great example of co-parenting,” shared a different commenter. Christina Haack Said She Reconnected With Ant Anstead After Her Split From Josh Hall In a February 2025 interview with Us Weekly, Haack referenced that Anstead appeared as a judge for her HGTV reality competition series, The Flip Off. The show, which premiered in January 2025, also stars her first ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, the father of her two eldest children, Taylor, 15, and Brayden, 10, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa. While speaking to the publication, Haack suggested her third ex-husband, Josh Hall, whom she separated from in 2024, took issue with Anstead. According to Haack, she was concerned Hall wouldn’t be able to handle it if she interacted with Anstead at their son’s sports games. She said once she ended her relationship with Hall, Anstead offered her some support. “I was dropping Hudson off at Ant’s house an he came up and gave me a big hug and was like ‘I’m here for you. Anything you need. I’m so sorry that you’re going through this,'” said Haack to Us Weekly. “And he said ‘I feel like Josh is the source of the problem why we couldn’t communicate and now I feel like we’re back on track and that’s what’s fair for Hudson.’ And we’ve been fine ever since.” Haack also briefly shared her opinion of Zellweger. She said while she is not particularly close to the Chicago star, she thinks “she’s super nice.” In addition, Haack said Zellweger and Hudson love each other. She also said she was pleased Anstead was “happy” in his relationship with Zellweger. Ant Anstead Revealed He Had to Get Surgery After a ‘Freak’ Accident in a November 1 Instagram Post E! News reported that Anstead revealed he had an unfortunate incident that required surgery in an November 1 Instagram upload. The Instagram photo showed the 46-year-old wearing an arm sling and compression socks. In the caption of the post, he said he started analyzing his health because “three close and beloved friends received terrible diagnosis.” “Then WHAMMO!! A freak footy accident and I detached my pectoral muscle and tore my rotator cuff and labrum!” shared the For the Love of Cars star in his caption. “Surgery now complete and I am forced to rest (which I don’t do well)….! So I’m taking it as a sign! And I am going back down the health rabbit hole as I’m in the age group where I need to take this stuff more seriously! And be Healthier and kinder to my body.”
