The Kansas City Chiefs started the season 0-2 as questions about their dynasty raged on, but have since won five of their last six games and now sit atop the Super Bowl odds. On Monday, the team easily dispatched the Washington Commanders in a 28-7 romp that featured a bit of history from star tight end Travis Kelce, who hauled in his 80th touchdown reception. The score was Kelce's 83rd total in the regular season, which tied him with Priest Holmes for the most in franchise history. "He's the true Chiefs Chief," star quarterback Patrick Mahomes said of his teammate. "...He's breaking all the records now and he's all about the team, so I want to make sure that he gets that and hopefully we can get another football for him later in the season after he actually breaks the record (most in Chiefs history). Pacheco suffered a knee injury against the Commanders when he took an awkward hit. He's considered "day-to-day" with an MCL sprain, while Brown was an addition to the injury report on Wednesday after catching a pass against Washington. As for Simmons, the team's starting left tackle remains away from the team due to a personal matter. The former Ohio State star is expected to return to the team in the coming weeks. "There's communication, and everything is positive," Reid said of Simmons. "It's not a negative situation, so he's taking care of family. He's just taking care of business. That's the main thing. When you deal with this, that's what you do. He's been very good about communicating." Mahomes will likely be without the team's starting left tackle and could be without a top running back and wide receiver option when the team faces off against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills this weekend.
