UPDATE (Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025): According to police, the suspect in a theft from a Kingston business has now been identified after a request for public assistance to do so. Kingston Police had released images of the suspect on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, asking for information from anyone who may know the suspect’s identity. In an update on social media (which was not sent out to local media), police indicated the suspect had been identified later the same day. “The Kingston Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter. The suspect has been identified and the investigation continues,” police said on Facebook around 2:05 p.m. on Tuesday. Constable Anthony Colangeli, Media Relations Officer for Kingston Police, confirmed with Kingstonist that the suspect had been identified on the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025. Conlangeli was not able to provide any information on whether the suspect had been arrested or charged. This article will be updated if further information becomes available. ORIGINAL ARTICLE (Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025): Kingston Police have released the above images and are requesting public assistance to identify the person pictured, the suspect in an ongoing investigation. In a press release on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, police said that the suspect was “involved in the theft of merchandise from a local business.” According to police, the theft occurred on August 22, 2025, at a business located in the area of Bath and Armstrong Roads in central Kingston. Kingston Police said the suspect entered the business and “proceeded to steal merchandise from within the business.” Police did not expand on the types of merchandise stolen, the value of that merchandise, or the business involved.
