Albox celebrates young innovation at Hackathon 2025

ALBOX recently celebrated an event to celebrate the innovative young minds of the municipality: the Hackathon Albox 2025, a workshop organised by Andalucia Launches, along with the Regional Delegation of Education, saw a massive turnout of more than 70 students from five secondary educational centres in Albox on Wednesday, October 22. Inspiring Albox’s entrepreneurs The aim of the initiative, which was focused on middle- and higher-grade students, was to encourage creativity, working in teams, and inspire the entrepreneurial spirit in the youths of the town. The workshop also highlighted the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda for Albox in particular. During the workshop, students worked in random teams to solve a real business challenge, crafted and simulated by Albox-based company, Margar Stone. Each group showed an impressive array of business-oriented skills, through innovation, design, entrepreneurial skills, and was able to come up with a professional development plan to tackle the specific problems given. The activity showed off the students’ forward-looking vision for their own companies in the future. A valuable experience in coexistence, listening to others’ ideas, collaborating, and integrating new members with an open mind and heart, the workshop was a booming success for the young minds of Albox. The Albox Town Hall, through a Facebook post, stated, “From the Albox Town Council, we congratulate all participants, schools – especially the two institutes from our town for taking the initiative to join in – teachers, and organising entities for making this event possible, which promotes education, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development in our municipality. A successful school year for Albox The initiative follows a successful school year for the town, with big investments made into their educational centres and large numbers of children being enrolled. With this initiative, Albox gives the older students a chance to shine and dream about their own companies one day, as well as prepare them for the adult world. Read more news from Almeria here.
