While it promises innovation and efficiency, experts have been warning against mass job losses, and unemployment due to AI. The AI threat has now grown from predictions of certain industries becoming obsolete to entire companies getting wiped out. Renowned Computer Science professor Pedro Domingos has made a striking prediction on X (formerly Twitter). Domingos, professor emeritus of computer science and engineering at the University of Washington and the author of 2040 and The Master Algorithm said that the “first big tech company to be destroyed by AI will be Salesforce.”His statement generated a wave of online discussion with many users commenting on the post with over 400K views.
