The Salón Varietés Theatre, the Costa del Sol’s premier English-speaking venue, is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of Agatha Christie’s timeless classic whodunit, Murder on the Nile. This year, the Salón Varietés is celebrating 40 years of captivating audiences, and so the theatre invites suspense lovers to unravel a tale of intrigue, deception, and deadly secrets aboard a luxurious Nile steamer. Directed by the much-loved and acclaimed Lynn Halliday, the gripping thriller follows the honeymoon voyage of wealthy heiress Kay Ridgeway and her new husband, Simon Mostyn. When a vengeful ex-lover boards the paddle steamer ship, tensions escalate, lights flicker out, and Hercule Poirot, who, of course, just happens to be aboard, is thrust into another intriguing murder mystery case, with a cast of eccentric passengers, all harbouring motives and alibis. Halliday, whose directorial prowess shone in the theatre’s hits like The Mousetrap, And Then There Were None, and Black Coffee, promises a riveting adaptation that stays true to the Queen of Crime’s masterful plotting. “Suspense, intrigue, and deception unfold in this timeless classic,” says the production team from SALVA. “It’s a must-see for fans of Christie’s ingenious twists.” Performances run from Wednesday, November 5, to Sunday, November 9, nightly at 7.30pm, with the Sunday a little earlier at 7pm.
