AdventHealth Names New Chief Financial Officer

AdventHealth announced a new chief financial officer on Tuesday, who will “provide systemwide financial leadership across the organization’s continuum of care.” In a statement, AdventHealth said Todd Goodman will serve as the health system’s CFO starting February 1, 2026. Why It Matters AdventHealth is headquartered in Altamonte Springs, Florida, and is one of the largest nonprofit Protestant health care companies in the country. The health system serves over 9 million patients at 55 campuses across nine states. There are more than 100,000 caregivers in physician practices, hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies and hospice centers. What to Know Goodman has been part of the health system since 1991. He recently served as the executive vice president of finance for AdventHealth and was previously the senior vice president and chief financial officer for AdventHealth Florida and AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division. “I’m deeply honored to serve as AdventHealth’s next chief financial officer and grateful for the trust and support of our leadership and board,” Goodman said in a statement. “It’s a privilege to advance our mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ through sound financial leadership. I believe in our bright future and look forward to building on our strong financial legacy to ensure AdventHealth continues to grow, thrive and serve our communities with excellence and purpose.” In addition to his work at AdventHealth, Goodman has actively served on several councils and board committees, including AdventHealth’s Community Health Impact Council, the finance committee of the Florida Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists, the boards and finance committees of AdventHealth University and Southwestern Adventist University and the Heart of Florida United Way Community Investment Committee. This comes months after AdventHealth named David Banks as the health system’s president and CEO. Banks previously served as group CEO for the Primary Health Division and the Multi-State Division of AdventHealth and chief strategy officers for the health system. According to AdventHealth, Banks was “instrumental in the visionary architecture and leadership of AdventHealth’s Primary Health Division” and provided executive oversight of the development and ongoing execution of the organization’s strategic 10-year business plan, Vision 2030. What People Are Saying AdventHealth President and CEO David Banks said in a statement: “Todd is a trusted and experienced leader who brings a strong commitment to faith-based, whole-person care and the financial stability that sustains it. I’m confident in the leadership he’ll bring as we continue advancing our mission.” Have an announcement or news to share? Contact the Newsweek Health Care team at health.care@newsweek.com.
