Despite a growth in revenues from operations, Adani Energy Solutions, one of the largest private transmission, distribution and smart metering company in the country, registered a 28 per cent decline in consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) for the second quarter of the financial year 2025-26. The company clocked ₹ 557 crore in profit, down from ₹773 crore registered during the second quarter of FY25. The company’s revenue from operations rose 6.6 per cent to ₹6,596 crore during the second quarter. While revenue from transmission and distribution business grew over 3 per cent during the quarter to ₹2,372 crore and ₹3,118 crore respectively, the revenue from trading fell 59 per cent to ₹201 crore. “The Q2 FY26 revenue increase is more pronounced due to full contribution from the transmission assets and better energy demand growth recorded in Q2FY26 in distribution circles along with the rising contribution from smart metering business,” the company stated in an official release. “The effective on-ground execution and focused O&M is enabling consistent progress on the project capex growth and taking us a step closer towards the completion of our locked-in projects across our business segments. During the first half, the company made strides to commission three new transmission lines and achieved industry leading daily run-rate in terms of smart meters installation and touched about 74-lakh meter installation mark, which is the highest in the country by any player,” Kandarp Patel, CEO, Adani Energy Solutions, stated. The company also said that its adjusted PAT of ₹557 crore for Q2FY26 grew 21 per cent. “PAT in Q2FY25 had a one-time positive impact of deferred tax of ₹314 crore, which has been adjusted to reflect the like-for-like growth,” the release added.
