A man working for Sunday Night Football is in critical condition after falling 50 feet from a scoreboard ahead of Green Bay Packers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers NFL game this past weekend. He was rushed to the hospital and is in critical conditions, according to reports. Worker Slipped During Game Setup The man, whose name hasn’t been made public yet, was working on Saturday, October 25, helping to set up for the primetime NFL game the following night at Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium. According to Pittsburg Public Safety (via The Hollywood Reporter), the incident happened at approximately 10 p.m. when the man, a contractor working as a camera operator rather than an employee of NBC, fell from the main scoreboard to a mid-level catwalk area. Rescue medics and firefighters learned of the incident and were able to stabilize him and lower him to “a waiting ambulance using a rope system,” per the public safety office. He “suffered severe injuries mainly to his lower extremities,” and as of Tuesday morning there was no update on his condition. On Monday, when the Pittsburgh Penguins were playing the St. Louis Blues, a fan fell from the upper deck of the PPG Paints Arena early during the first quarter. The fan was taken to a hospital, according to a statement from the team.
