GRAND RAPIDS, MI - A patriotic 500-drone lightshow is planned along the Grand River Nov. 7-8 in celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the United States, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army, and U.S. Navy. Hosted by Michigan veteran-led nonprofit Creative Community Entertainment, the Celebration of Service Fundraiser is one of the largest drone light shows over downtown Grand Rapids, according to the news release. Attendees will also enjoy a Veteran Creative Arts & Crafts Fair, live entertainment and local food trucks. The event, near 555 North Monroe Ave., is free and open to the public. “We are building something truly special for West Michigan, an event that honors service, uplifts veterans and inspires the next generation through creativity and innovation,” said Jamal Steward, U.S. Marine Corps veteran & president of Creative Community Entertainment. “We invite the community, local businesses and sponsors to stand with us in making this vision a reality.” As part of its mission, Creative Community Entertainment is offering free booth space to veteran entrepreneurs and their family members, giving them a platform to showcase their creativity and businesses.
