A Bessemer man was killed when fire swept through his travel trailer at a Jefferson County campground. Hueytown Fire and Rescue was dispatched at 3:34 a.m. Tuesday to a report of a fire blaze at C amping at Blue Creek campground on Prosper Avenue. Once firefighters extinguished the blaze, they found 46-year-old Christopher Michael Reeves unresponsive inside. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 4 a.m., according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. The Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
