Staff Reporter A 24-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after raping a three-year-old minor girl. According to the weekend crime bulletin, the incident of rape happened at around 10:30 at Ondukutu village-Oshitayi. It is alleged that the three-year-old female was raped when the mother (complainant) went to fetch firewood and left the victim in the house with other children older than her and the suspect. While the victim was being bathed, she started crying and told her mother what happened. The victim was taken to Onandjokwe hospital. A 24-year-old male suspect was arrested and is yet to be charged. Police investigation continues. In the second case of rape reported over the past week, a 21-year-old Angolan female was raped by a man who offered her accommodation. The incident of rape is alleged to have happened at Oshikango location. It is further alleged that the victim came from Endola to Oshakati on her way to Omungwelume, where she got a job. In Oshakati, she was dropped off at Omungwelume taxi rank at around 13:00. While she was waiting for the person who got her the job, the unknown man (suspect) came there and greeted her. At around 18:00, the suspect told her to go with him to sleep at his place after the person she was waiting for did not come. The victim slept there since Wednesday. At around 00:00, the suspect raped the victim. The suspect has not yet been arrested. Police investigation continues.
