A 15-year-old boy died on Friday evening after he was allegedly assaulted by a group of youngsters in Delhi’s Mangolpuri area, police confirmed on Saturday. According to officials, the boy, a Class 10 student, argued with another student earlier in the day. The same boy later returned with a few outsiders and confronted the victim. They allegedly attacked him, repeatedly hitting. Investigators believe the clash began over a small issue a few days earlier and worsened after school hours when others, not linked to the school, joined the fight. The injured teenager was taken to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police have registered a case and apprehended several minors in connection with the assault. Search operations are underway to find the other boys involved. Teams are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area and speaking with witnesses to ascertain what exactly led to the attack. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, which will determine the exact cause of death. A further investigation into the matter is underway.
