13-time WWE champion subtly confirms he's returning to AEW as a heel

A former WWE and AEW champion has seemingly teased a heel turn while counting down the days to his return. The star in question, Dustin Rhodes, is currently out due to injury. The Natural has been missing from action since losing his TNT Championship to Kyle Fletcher at the end of July. Dustin found himself on the receiving end of a lot of punishment during his brutal Chicago Street Fight against The Protostar, especially as the latter attacked his legs both during and after the matchup. The veteran underwent double knee replacement surgery this past August, and is currently on the mend. Throughout his tenure in AEW, Rhodes has operated as a babyface. He has not played a villainous character in some time now - a fact that could change soon, judging from the legend's latest X/Twitter post. The multi-time former WWE champion wrote: "I kind of miss being a heel. Haven't been in so long."Check out Rhodes' tweet HERE.Dustin Rhodes @dustinrhodesLINKI kind of miss being a heel. The 30-year-old will be joining the family business and follow in the footsteps of her father, the legendary Eddie Guerrero. After Sherilyn herself confirmed the news on her X/Twitter profile, her post elicited a response from AEW's Dustin Rhodes, who penned a heartwarming three-word note of encouragement: "Go gettem girl!! ❤️"- posted Dustin.Check out Rhodes' tweet below:The Artist Formerly Known as Goldust has seemingly never wrestled Eddie Guerrero one-on-one on a major platform. However, the two men did share the ring in WWE on two occasions back in 2002 - first, in a ten-person tag bout on the July 8 episode of Monday Night RAW, and afterwards in a standard tag team match pitting The Bizarre One and Booker T (coincidentally, one of the founders of Reality of Wrestling) against Latino Heat and Chris Benoit four days later on a house show.
