This year, it was a decent season for him. He finished in 34th position in the season standings.McDowell was close to winning the Virginia event but settled for a T2 place. It would be the greatest moment of my life to stand there at Adare Manor as the Ryder Cup captain," he added.In his career, Graeme McDowell has played for the European team at the Ryder Cup four times. He made his debut in 2008 and then played in 2010, where the European team won the event. He was part of the winning team in 2012 and 2014.In 2025, Luke Donald was the Ryder Cup Europe team captain, and under his leadership, the team retained its title. It would be interesting to see who will lead the European side at the next Ryder Cup in 2027.
