HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Four people were shot in a peculiar series of events in Gulfton on Sunday morning. Houston Police Assistant Chief Patricia Cantu said two people were dropped off at a hospital at 5:06 a.m. Sunday with gunshot wounds. They reportedly said they had been shot at Caribe Sport Bar at 6916 Rampart Street. Assistant Chief Cantu said officers visited the site but noticed "activity" inside that led them to believe no shooting occurred there. ABC13 is working to learn more about what kind of activity officers observed, if they set foot inside the club, or spoke with anyone on-site. At 5:59 a.m., a shooting was called in about a block away at 6909 Ashcroft Drive. Assistant Chief Cantu said Houston Police located two people with gunshot wounds - one she said was in critical condition, the other deceased. "Right now we have a lot of missing pieces," Cantu said. "There is a lot of confusion over where the shooting actually occurred." ABC13 visited the Ashcroft Drive site. The business located in Suite 316 did not have any signage. Its front glass door was shattered, and blood pooled nearby. A woman who identified herself as one of the victim's sisters told ABC13 she came to the location seeking answers. She said a truck parked nearby belonged to him. One of the tires was flat. ABC13 spoke off-camera with several residents who said all four people were shot in the same incident at the Ashcroft Drive business. They said the business operates late at night into the early morning. ABC13 spoke with the owner of the business on the phone. He acknowledged the shooting and said that his business is not an after-hours club. He said the business operates as a restaurant and bar. Assistant Chief Cantu said the department is working to figure out why, if all four shootings happened at the same time, a 911 call wasn't placed for at least an hour. "It's so important if people hear something, please, please call the police. You do not have to give your name, but we need to know. It's a possibility people's lives could be saved. I don't know, I'm not a doctor, but at the same time it's disturbing to even think that somebody was lying there for a couple of hours bleeding to death," she said.
