Nigerian singer Yemi Alade has revealed her desire to settle down soon, saying she does not want to live a lonely life despite her busy career. The award-winning artiste spoke about her personal life and future plans during an interview with Chude. The Johnny crooner explained that she dreams of having a private wedding on a quiet island, away from the spotlight. Yemi also reflected on her rise to fame, sharing how she built her brand through hard work and determination without depending on anyone to pave the way for her. She recalled performing at hundreds of free shows in her early days just to gain experience and make her name known. She added that she chose her own path in the music industry and proved that an African artiste can achieve success without relying on international collaborations. She said: “This industry is already a lonely place. I’m not about to live my actual life lonely. I dream of having a private wedding on one coded island like that. “I didn’t need the stars ahead of me to hand me a baton. I made my own lane. There’s space for me. “I didn’t do the norm.
