Allen’s new album has taken the world by storm following its release last Friday, courting widespread critical acclaim and soaring up the charts. It’s a major comeback for Allen, who last released an album more than seven years ago, and paints a stark picture of her troubled open marriage. In one track, entitled Madeline, Allen alludes to a deal she made with Harbour for how an open relationship might work, only for Harbour to go back on his word: “We had an arrangement,” the lyrics read. “Be discrete and don’t be blatant. There had to be payment. It had to be with strangers. But you’re not a stranger Madeline.” As fans clamoured to work out who Allen was singing about, Daily Mail finally exposed her true identity. It turned out to be 34-year-old single mother Natalie Tippett, a costume designer who’d worked with Harbour on the 2021 Netflix movie We Have A Ghost. Speaking to Daily Mail, she said: “Of course I’ve heard the song. But I have a family and things to protect. I have a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter. It’s a little bit scary for me.” When Tippett was asked if she knew her private texts with Harbour were being used in Allen’s songs, she replied, “Yeah. I just don’t feel comfortable talking about it at the moment.” Despite Harbour currently being public enemy number one following the release of the album, an insider went on to insist that Allen “is no angel”. “Lily’s hardly an angel,” said the source. “She gave David a totally false idea of what and who she is. She wanted the big house and the lifestyle and then she hated it. “Men find her hard work; there is something about her which makes them pull their hair out and run a mile. Same thing happened with her ex Sam Cooper. “She was advised if she wanted to sell albums then she would have to sing about David and now she’s cashing in,’ the source continued. In February, news broke that Allen, who married Harbour in 2020, and the actor were divorcing. The singer then revealed that she had gone to a treatment centre for “emotional turmoil.” Harbour has remained mum on the break-up and the infidelity rumours. In April, the Black Widow star awkwardly dodged questions about his estranged wife.
