Harvey Geh – The Sun November 2, 2025 - 9:26PM Share via Email Share on Facebook Share on Whatsapp Прослушать эту статью Copied URL to clipboard Prince Andrew losing royal titles branded ‘really embarrassing’ for the Royal Family Sky News host Danica De Giorgio claims Prince Andrew being stripped of his royal titles is “really embarrassing” for the Royal Family.... Prince William and Kate have finally moved into their “forever home” – amid speculation they were waiting for Andrew to leave next door’s Royal Lodge. The pair has left Adelaide Cottage in Windsor’s Home Park in favour of the £16 ($AU32) million Grade-II listed eight-bedroom mansion Forest Lodge. The move coincides with school half term for George, Charlotte and Louis – and means the family managed to settle in before Bonfire night as previously planned, The Sun reported. The new home has been dubbed a fresh start – with Kate’s recovery from cancer at Wills’ upcoming solo trip to Brazil for the annual Earthshot Prize Awards. But the move does mean that the Wales family will be closer to Wills’ disgraced uncle – for a short period. Copied URL to clipboard Prince William fights back tears The future King became visibly... An unnamed source told the Daily Mail: “Catherine shudders at the thought of living so close to Royal Lodge while Prince Andrew is still in it “William wants him gone before they start to move in next week.” The former Prince will still be situated about 2.2 kilometres from the Wales’ fresh pad, as the humiliated ex-royal remains in his Windsor Great Park property Royal Lodge. But residents in Sandringham, Norfolk, where Andrew will be moving, said on Friday: “We don’t want him here either. He’s a horrible man.” Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales can’t wait to move in. Picture: Samir Hussein/Pool Photo via AP Andrew’s former wife Sarah -Ferguson, 66 — also living at Royal Lodge despite their 1996 divorce — has found private accommodation and will not live with Andy for the first time since 2008. Last week The Sun revealed the former Yorks’ shameless bid to get two homes in the shadow of Windsor Castle if they left Royal Lodge. Andy wanted Harry and Meghan’s old home Frogmore Cottage. Fergie had also requested Adelaide Cottage ahead of William and Kate‘s latest move. A decision on the Royal Lodge exit was finalised this week after increased pressure on the Royal Family. Anti-monarchist pressure group Republic want to launch a private prosecution against Andrew over allegations of sexual assault, corruption and misconduct in public office, which he continues to deny. It came after Parliament’s spending watchdog wrote to the Treasury and Crown Estate demanding answers on his lease at Royal Lodge when it emerged he had not paid rent in 22 years. An insider said: “The King exploded with rage when the scandal began to interfere with royal work. At the same time it came out Andrew and Fergie wanted two homes. That tipped it over the edge.” The entrance gates and gatehouse to Royal Lodge are seen in Windsor Great Park. Picture: Peter Nicholls/Getty Images There was also concern the crisis would not be resolved before William visits Brazil from Monday. Charles made the final call to strip Andy of his titles and boot him out but was supported by Camilla, William and the wider family. It is understood Andrew did not object. Wills and Kate were said to have fully supported the King’s leadership on the matter. The Prince of Wales is always understood to have wanted to take decisive action over his uncle. Andrew was accused by the late Virginia Giuffre of sexually assaulting her as a teenager, after she was trafficked by pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, which the former prince denies. Palace officials will not reveal where he will live at Sandringham. Andrew did not object. Other options could be Princess Diana’s birthplace Park House, or the turreted Folly. Meanwhile, before the former Yorks leave Royal Lodge, Crown Estate officials will assess it for repairs. It is thought little work has been carried out since Andrew spent $15 million in 2003. A source said: “It has previously been diagnosed with damp.” A YouGov poll found 79 per cent back the King stripping Andrew of his “Prince” title. And 87 per cent feel it was the only option.
