'Stranger Things' Actor Has 'Hot Take' on New Taylor Swift Album

Noah Schnapp could send Swifties in to the Upside Down with his recent hot take on Taylor Swift‘s new album. While on the red carpet for the Season 5 premiere of Stranger Things on Thursday, Nov. 6, the 21-year-old actor was asked by a reporter to name the “strangest thing” about him—and his answer had some Swifties shaking their heads. 🎬SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 “The strangest thing about me…that I don’t love The Life of a Showgirl? Is that crazy?” Schnapp said in the video, which was uploaded to the Variety TikTok page. As soon as he said it, Schnapp seemed to completely regret it, as he covered his mouth and frantically stated, “I know that’s such a hot take. Ok, take it out.” “Never mind, never mind, never mind,” the panicked actor added, before trying to backtrack and insist that he only mean the title track, “The Life of a Showgirl“—not Swift’s entire album. “I love ‘Opalite’ and ‘The Fate of Ophelia,'” he said. “It’s just that one song…is that crazy?” Schnapp went on to insist that he is a “huge” Swiftie, though the reporter begged to differ, telling Schnapp he didn’t sound like such a Swiftie with the hot take. “I am a Swiftie I swear,” Schnapp stressed. “‘Enchanted’ is my favorite song ever. But, I just don’t like [‘The Life of a Showgirl’].” Regardless of whether or not fans agreed with Schnapp’s take, many users online were mostly just amused by the “instant regret” that appeared to take over Schnapp’s face after he shared his honest opinion about the divisive album. “the sheer panic & regret immediately after 😭” one fan pointed out, while another noted, “poor him he was so nervous omg.” “PLZ HE GOT SO SCARED,” one fan wrote. Another quipped, “His life flashed before his eyes.” “He 100% meant the album, and then backtracked 🫠” one user insisted, while another person reminded the actor, “NOAHHH 😂😂 it’s okay to have opinions.” Related: ‘Stranger Things’ Fans Declare ‘Barb Lives’ After Actress’ Surprise Appearance at Season 5 Premiere
