Indian fans hit back at Pakistan cricketer Muhammad Shahzad, who mocked Team India after winning the Hong Kong Sixes. Pakistan have faced several embarrassments in major cricket events in the last few years, with the most recent being the Asia Cup, where they lost thrice to India, but they have been successful at the Hong Kong Sixes, winning the title six times - the most by any team. After the Men in Green defeated Kuwait to lift another title, cricketer Muhammad Shahzad took a cheeky dig at Team India. Taking to X, Shahzad responded to a tweet by Dinesh Karthik, the Indian captain for Hong Kong Sixes, where he celebrated the win against Pakistan, and wrote, "Fun end to the Hong Kong Sixes. Business as usual." Notably, Pakistan's only defeat came against India, where they lost by two runs in a rain-affected game. India, on the other hand, suffered defeats to Nepal, Kuwait, and Sri Lanka. Should India Participate In Hong Kong Sixes? The tournament was started in 1992, but India only have a win to show in 21 editions. It came in 2005 when they defeated West Indies. This year, the Indian team had players like Dinesh Karthik, Robin Uthappa, Abhimanyu Mithun, Bharat Chipli, and Stuart Binny, with most of them retired long ago. Pakistan, on the other hand, sent a very young team and reaped rewards. Yes, Hong Kong Sixes is not the biggest cricket event in the world, and India does not seem bothered about it, which is fair, but poor results like these don't suit a country that has multiple ICC titles to its name. India should either send a team good enough to win, or just skip the tournament to avoid embarrassment.
