'Billi Haj Ko Chali': Amit Shah Fires Back At Tejashwi Yadav's Remarks On Crime In Bihar | WATCH

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday took a swipe at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav over his comments on law and order in Bihar, citing data to claim that serious crimes had declined under the NDA's two-decade rule. Responding to Yadav's remarks, Shah said, "I was listening to Lalu Prasad Yadav's son talk about loot and murder in Bihar. This is, 'Sau chuhe kha kar, billi haj ko chali.'" He added that murders in the state had fallen by about 20 per cent under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s tenure. "I was listening that former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav's son (Tejashwi Yadav) was talking about loot, murder and crime in Bihar. This is, 'Sau chuhe kha kar, billi haj ko chali,’" Shah said while addressing a public rally in Khagaria district. "In Nitish Kumar's tenure of the last 20 years, there has been a 20 per cent decline in cases of murder compared to 2005," he added. The Home Minister further stated this assembly election will decide whether the 'jungle raaj' will return to Bihar or the state remains on the path of development. "Let Rahul Gandhi launch yatras to protect these infiltrators. It does not matter. He can not protect infiltrators by taking out 'Ghuspetiya Bachao Yatra'. Every infiltrator would be detected, deleted (from the voters' list) and deported to their countries," Shah said. Also Read: Bihar Election 2025: Nitish Kumar Confirmed As NDA's CM Pick? Here's What PM Modi Said He also accused RJD supremo Lalu Prasad of concentrating only on the prosperity of his family. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and CM Nitish Kumar ji want overall development of Bihar, but Lalu Prasad wants 'vikas' (prosperity) of his family only. People don't want the return of 'jungle raj' in the state," Shah said. "Under the RJD rule, murders, dacoity and other crimes were normal in Bihar," he alleged.
