She also opened a museum, Ecdysiast Arts Museum, in Davenport, Iowa, dedicated to the history of stripping. “We bonded at first through Burlesque,” she said of her friend. “While I was living in Puerto Rico, full-time, I started teaching, and she became one of my students. Very soon, I realized that she had a bevy of other talent, including Egyptian folk dance RAQS, also known as Belly Dance.” Colby continued, “While she was learning from me, I started taking lessons from her. What a fantastic teacher and friend. Thank you for years of love, laughter, and tears together. You are one of the greatest gifts Puerto Rico has given me.” To conclude her update, the history fanatic wrote, “I look forward to shimmying into the future together.
