Don’t ever disrespect him again publicly like that."Fans reacted to the latest development from the Manfred-Harper saga."You touch Bryce Harper, you die Manfred."Philly Scott Van Pelt @HauserBrettLINKYou touch Bryce Harper, you die Manfred"Harper honestly looked as though his soul was taken from his body this year. However, Bryce Harper's reaction summed up the player's opinion on a potential salary cap. The MLBPA have been against the salary cap for decades and the last time MLB tired to enforce the cap, it resulted in a players strike that canceled the 1994 World Series and delayed the start of the 1995 season. The strike lasted for 232 days and any potential salary cap implementation in 2027 could lead to a similar lockout. The latest allegations against Manfred's camp isn't going to make the negotiations any easier for MLB.
