Angel Reese reportedly became the first professional athlete to walk the famous Victoria’s Secret runway. The Chicago Sky star accomplished the feat in mid-October when she joined some of the fashion world’s biggest models for a show in New York. Reese, who has millions of followers on social media, gained even more recognition after the event.WNBA star DiJonai Carrington had this to say on Wednesday, via an ESPN interview, when asked about the significance of what Reese did:“That was a risk for Angel Reese to take. She’s a basketball player, that’s not all she is, but to walk the runway with millions of people, that’s a risk. You’re putting yourself out there, but she’s doing it for the next generation so that they can say, ‘Oh, she did that. Now, I can dream of anything!’”Reese is one of the most visible athletes in the sporting world, who also dabbles in fashion. She was formerly a guest at the Met Gala before joining the committee that planned the event in 2025. The Chi Barbie has also modeled for Vogue and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
