Democratic Party representative Zohran Mamdani recently became the mayor-elect of New York City. His parents are filmmaker Mira Nair and postcolonialism academic Mahmood Mamdani. Mamdani is a professional wrestling fan. A few clips of him recently resurfaced after his electoral win. In these videos, the 34-year-old is seen attending and enjoying AEW shows. In one of the videos, he is seen vibing to CM Punk's entrance theme in the arena. While in another one is focused on the epic match between Kenny Omega and at Grand Slam 2021. Thousands of fans on X were surprised to learn that Mamdani is an All Elite Wrestling fan. Some congratulated him for becoming the new Mayor of New York City.
