AJ Perdomo of The Dangerous Summer gave a big shout-out to Dale Earnhardt Jr. for getting their song in the NASCAR 25 game, which was released last month. The pop punk band also thanked the JR Motorsports co-owner for opening doors to new fans and stages.The Dangerous Summer's song "Dream" is included on the official NASCAR 25 soundtrack, alongside songs by other artists such as Killer Mike and Breaking Benjamin. Gamers heard the track while racing virtual laps on modern consoles and PCs. The soundtrack mixes classic rock, rap, and modern rock to match the game’s fast pace. Players said that the playlist gave races an added rush.The American rock band's frontman, AJ Perdomo, described how Earnhardt Jr. helped the group reconnect and reach racing audiences in a video on Instagram."Dale and I go way back. He was a big reason why we got back together. I think we both talked each other back into a beautiful part of our lives. He brought Ryan Blaney out in 2017 to four-chord music festival. It was funny to have two of the biggest NASCAR drivers in history standing right there watching us play," Perdomo said. He reached out to Perdomo, and eventually the band re-formed.Junior also helped set up festival slots and a trackside show at Pocono Raceway in 2018. He recorded over 30 voice clips for the in-game commentary.
