Winston-Salem appears set for a fourth Zaxby’s restaurant location after the City Council approved Monday a site plan change for a location on Fairlawn Drive.
The petitioner, property owner Jemsite Development LLC of Jefferson, asked for the site plan to be amended from a 9,000-square-foot retail building to a 2,195-square-foot restaurant with drive-through service.
A representative of the potential developer told Council after the board approved the site-plan amendment that “Zaxby’s is ready to bring some sandwiches to Winston-Salem.”
The undeveloped 0.97-acre tract site is between Fairlawn Court and Silas Creek Parkway.
The planned Zaxby’s property is adjacent to the expanding Fairlawn retail area that features a Lidl grocery store, a Sheetz convenience store and a NTB retail store and a Culver’s restaurant.
Zaxby also has Winston-Salem locations at 3179 Peters Creek Parkway, 3840 Oxford Station Way and 430 Summit Square Blvd., as well as locations in Bermuda Run, Kernersville, King and Walkertown.
