Zarah Sultana has announced she will drop legal action against Jeremy Corbyn, aiming to reconcile their dispute over the fledgling ‘Your Party’.
The left-wing MP had previously threatened defamation proceedings after Mr Corbyn described her launch of a party membership system as “unauthorised”.
Ms Sultana claimed she faced a “sexist boys’ club” and was “sidelined” and “frozen out” by Mr Corbyn and other independent MPs.
In a statement, Ms Sultana expressed her determination to reconcile for the party’s sake, acknowledging supporters felt “demoralised” by the row.
‘Your Party’, which is yet to be officially named, was established by Ms Sultana and Mr Corbyn and aims to be a challenger to existing political parties.
