Zach Bryan, John Mayer fans should hit up these Ann Arbor spots before Michigan Stadium concert

ANN ARBOR, MI — Fans already ate up tickets to Zach Bryan and John Mayer’s upcoming show at the biggest sports arena in the United States this Saturday.
Soon they will need a place to eat in Ann Arbor.
The Sept. 27 concert will be the University of Michigan’s first-ever show at Michigan Stadium, with the 112,000 fans expecting to set the North American record for concert attendance.
With the concert starting at 10 p.m., fans need to satisfy their palates before they cheer for the Grammy-winning artists.
Here are five restaurants and bars to check out on Sept. 27.
Union Rec
Union Rec, 545 S. Main St., is a close walk up to The Big House.
The spot serves a range of tacos, burgers and rice bowls, as well as a variety of smoked meats. The restaurant is best known for its macaroni and cheese, which features Vermont sharp cheddar and Pinconning cheeses and is topped with a crunchy crust.
The restaurant is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday to Saturday. The coffee house is open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.
Side Biscuit
Side Biscuit, 1232 Packard St., sells chicken wings with over 10 flavors, along with biscuits, salads and fries.
Side Biscuit’s No.1 top-selling sauce is its OG Buffalo made with Frank’s RedHot and butter. The restaurant’s sweet and spicy Gucci Gang sauce, made with gochujang, comes in a close second.
The joint is open 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 4 pm. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Casa Dominick’s
Casa Dominick’s has patrons raving over its sangrias, pizza and over 15 pasta dishes.
Over the years, the restaurant has seen its share of celebrities and politicians, including political activist Ralph Nader, former Michigan Gov. John Swainson and Gina Raimondo, former President Joe Biden’s secretary of commerce.
Casa Dominick’s, 812 Monroe St., is open 10 a.m. to 9:15 p.m. Monday to Saturday.
Old Town Tavern
Pub-goers will be happy at this popular Ann Arbor bar.
Old Town Tavern, 122 W Liberty St., has seen longtime Ann Arbor residents since its opening in 1972. Its to-go beers on draft may excite those residents.
Patrons can try the pub’s reubens, Nashville hot chicken or brisket bowls, among other dishes and drinks.
Old Town Tavern is open 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday to Saturday and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
First Bite
Want something healthier? First Bite has fans covered.
At this downtown Ann Arbor brunch spot, fans can find fresh vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options, partly inspired by Indian flavors.
Popular items include blueberry pancakes, the “Ann Arbor Avocado Toast,” and an Indian masala omelet.
First Bite, 108 S. Main St., is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day.
