Zac Efron is repping a new ‘do these days.
Captured in an September Instagram post from model Keleigh Teller, wife of Miles Teller, Efron was seen on a boat alongside a group of friends, rocking platinum blond hair.
The “Greatest Showman” actor made a pucker face at the camera, posing with fellow Hollywood stars, including Nina Dobrev and Chace Crawford, among others.
Efron’s new blond look was on full display in a photo showing the actor in what appeared to be a life vest while in clear blue water holding onto a board.
In a sunset picture within the same carousel, Efron was seen smiling with the group of guys; though his hair was covered with a backwards baseball cap.
Keleigh Teller captioned the post with a letter, sun, spaghetti and wave emoji.
While Efron typically opts for his au natural chocolate brown hair, this isn’t the first time he’s leaned away from his signature color.
While doing press for the 2019 drama “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile,” in which he played prolific serial killer Ted Bundy, Efron dyed his hair blond.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Efron said he changed his hair color after losing a bet with a friend.
“It was kind of a double dare sort of thing,” he explained.
Efron may have also been inspired by Eminem, noting that the famously blond rapper “was cool when I was growing up.”
When asked if the color was there to stay, Efron replied, “No,” adding that maintaining the blond would be “so much work and chemicals.”
“I doubt it. I can barely stand doing it this long,” he added.
Efron also had a 2016 stint dabbling with a beach blond look, though not fully straying from this signature brunette.
At the Los Angeles premiere of “Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates,” the 2016 film in which he starred with Adam DeVine, Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza, Efron sported brown roots with his longer ends dyed golden blond.
