We have tech almost everywhere, smart TVs, smart rings, air tags, and what not. However, things go from convenient to shocking when a device shows the potential to cause serious physical damage to the user. In a recent event, Daniel Rotar, ZONEofTECH YouTube channel head, shared a nightmarish experience on X that he faced with the Samsung Galaxy Ring. According to his post, the Galaxy Ring began swelling when he was wearing it. He said, ‘I cannot take it off, and this thing hurts.’ After a few hours of the post, Rotar again posted saying that he had gone to the hospital and got help to remove the smart ring from his finger. To back his claim, he also shared the photos of the device that showed the swelling on the interior surface of the ring. Samsung’s Response To The Scenario Engadget reported that they also reached out to Samsung for comment and received the following statement, ‘The safety of our customers is a top priority, and we are in direct contact with this user to learn more about their concerns. While experiences like this are extremely rare, there are a few ways to attempt removing a stuck ring, including soap and water – or submerging your hand in cold water. If these methods do not work, additional information is provided on our Samsung Support page.’ One thing that all the generic users and tech enthusiasts need to understand is that no technology is perfect, and the devices can experience failure for sure. The best way to keep yourself safe from these kinds of episodes is to recycle a device that is no longer in use, and even those devices that are holding it all with a thin thread. And a failure in the ring or swelling battery is a very rare scenario, not something that we get to hear about everyday. So, proper caution is the only thing that can keep you safe from a device entering its foiled state.
