Young Guyanese are being invited to participate in the Youth Agri-Innovative Business Pitch, a national competition that offers funding and mentorship for innovative agricultural ideas, targeting individuals aged 18 to 35 who are interested in developing new approaches to agriculture. The Small Business Bureau in collaboration with Agriculture Innovative and Entrepreneurship Programme (AIEP) launched the initiative to “inspire the next generation of agri-entrepre-neurs.” Building on the successes of past initiatives that promoted green and sustainable business practices, the Bureau said this programme is continuing its mission of fostering innovation, food security, and economic growth. Participants in the competition will have the chance to win cash prizes, with first place receiving $1,000,000, second place $700,000, and third place $500,000. Three additional consolation prizes of $50,000 each will also be awarded.
