On stage during her October 26 keynote at Money 20/20, Apple Pay and Wallet VP Jennifer Bailey kept her comments broad, saying passport support for iPhones running iOS 26 is coming “soon”, going on to say Apple has been replacing keys, tickets, and IDs, and has been “making great great progress” in the space. MacRumors also notes that Apple’s iOS 26 page lists the feature as “coming later this year,” and notes it could arrive via a point update or a server-side switch. The setup mirrors what Wallet already does for licenses and student IDs.
