‘Your food was always outstanding’ cries fans as beloved food spot announces shock closure as owners look for buyer

A BELOVED food spot has announced its shock closure after five years with punters saying they are “devastated”.
The Captains Catch in Midleton, Co Cork is shutting down this weekend.
The food truck was known and loved for their fresh fish caught by their own hands.
It travelled around busy Cork towns including Aghada and Glounthaune.
The owners confirmed the last day of business for the truck would be Sunday, September 28.
They said: “After five incredible years on the road, we’re sad to share that The Captains Catch is officially closing its window for the last time on Sunday 28th September.
“Running this business has been an unforgettable journey and we’re beyond grateful to every single one of you who supported us.”
The owners thanked their team of staff for their hard work over the years.
“We want to give a special shout-out to all of our staff over the past five years, especially our incredible current team, who poured their hearts into making this truck run smoothly and serving every dish with care.
“We could not have done it without you all. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the memories.”
The owners said they’re also open to any offers to take over The Captains Catch.
They added: “Please contact us privately if you are interested in buying the business.”
Punters rushed to the comments to share their shock on the closure news.
