Young Karateka Naryan Sawh one to watch for the future Oct 29, 2025 Sports At age 11 years old, Naryan Sawh, of Great Diamond E.B.D. is one of the outstanding students of the Iron Fist Club, a member of the Guyana Mixed Martial Arts Karate Association. Sawh’s karate journey begun in August, 2024 and had been a remarkable one thus this far, with him being dedicated to his training and performed in previous tournaments, maintaining many 1st and 2nd places in his events. Sawh was crowned winner of The Junior Championship in Traditional Kata at the Epic Clash Martial Arts Championship. The Epic Clash Martial Arts Championship 2025, held on October 26th at the Guyana National Gymnasium, was an exciting showcase of talent, strength, and discipline. The event brought together top martial artists from across the country, all competing for championship titles in various divisions. Among the most outstanding performances was that of Chaitram Ramotar, representing the Invisible Kicks Martial Arts Academy, who was crowned the Senior Grand Champion in Traditional Kata. Naryan Sawh’s flawless execution of his kata demonstrated precision, balance, and powerful technique—qualities that reflect his dedication and training. His exceptional performance earned the admiration of both judges and spectators, making him a standout competitor in this year’s championship. Master Lloyd Ramnarine, President of the Guyana Mixed Martial Arts Karate Association, congratulated all athletes for their commitment and effort, especially the Junior Grand Champion Naryan Sawh. He praised his achievements as a reflection of true martial arts discipline and excellence. With dedicated athletes like Sawh leading by example, the spirit of traditional martial arts in Guyana continues to grow stronger and more inspiring each year.
