You won’t believe how many susbcribers Disney lost after Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension

The fallout from the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel should prompt Disney to take a good look in the mirror because the losses have been staggering.
The entertainment giant’s decision to temporarily ban the comedian following his Charlie Kirk comments aimed at President Donald Trump and the MAGA crowd came with some very real costs for the company.
According to journalist Marisa Kabas, Disney lost an estimated 1.7 million subscribers across Hulu, ESPN, and Disney+ because of the public backlash and cancellations.
To ease the sting felt from Kimmel’s comments, Disney and ABC – along with right wing broadcast affiliates – placed his show on an indefinite hiatus.
That did not last long.
Disney brought back Kimmel in a matter of days, but the damage had apparently been done.
The loss comes as Disney has made other unpopular moves of late, including its password crackdown and more recently, increasing its streaming service pricing right after Kimmel’s hiatus.
Disney reportedly lost 700,000 subscribers earlier this year due to price hikes.
And now, after everything that’s happened, it looks like the company has a way to go win back the general public.
