Walmart Plus is about to level up its streaming service offering in a major way. Previously, Walmart Plus subscribers have been able to get Paramount Plus for free through their subscription, but in just a few days, you’ll be able to choose between two streamers instead.
The retailer recently revealed that, starting September 15,Walmart Plus members will be able to choose between the ad-supported tiers of Peacock and Paramount Plus, at no additional cost.
With this enhanced streaming benefit (known as “Video Streaming Choice”), Walmart Plus members will be able to dive into the latest Paramount Plus originals or new Peacock Premium exclusives as part of their subscription

What’s more, Walmart Plus members will also be able to switch between the two services every 90 days. So if you wanted to dive “The Paper,” Peacock’s new “The Office” spinoff, but aren’t as interested in Peacock’s wider catalog, you’d be able to pivot back to Paramount Plus in just a couple of months.
Walmart Plus: $98 at Walmart
Walmart Plus costs $12.95/month (or save 37% with an annual subscription, which costs $98), and offers a free 30-day trial.
In addition to the upcoming flexible streaming benefit, a Walmart Plus subscription also offers benefits like free same-day delivery on groceries and Rx, free shipping, deeper gas discounts, early access to deals, and more.
“The additional option of Peacock Premium adds even more value and more choice to our membership, without raising the price” said Deepak Maini, SVP of Walmart Plus.
“By offering the ability to switch between two top-tier video streaming services, we’re empowering our members to customize their entertainment experience and enjoy significant savings. This is just one of the many ways we’re evolving Walmart Plus to meet the needs and wants of today’s consumer.”
This new offer brings the number of Walmart Plus benefits up from three at launch in 2020 to 12 in 2025, and makes the retail membership a more competitive offering to Amazon Prime, especially for would-be streamers. Prime Video might have an impressive content library, but the option to access two streamers every few months is definitely an enticing one.
