xxxxnese, a Cross-Border E-Commerce Company, Secures Additional ¥150 Million from All About and NCB Venture Capital

On September 25, the startup xxxxnese, which is transforming cross-border e-commerce through digital transformation (DX), announced that it has raised approximately ¥150 million in a Series A extension. This funding round was led by All About and NCB Venture Capital, with additional financing from the Japan Finance Corporation, bringing the total funds raised to ¥490 million.

xxxxnese operates a mall-type cross-border e-commerce platform under the banner “Borderless Platform,” enabling Japanese brands to enter overseas markets, primarily in mainland China, with low risk. Since its launch, over 2,100 shops have joined the platform, offering more than 1.2 million products, including fashion and cosmetics.

The company’s proprietary system synchronizes inventory and product information from Japan in real-time and utilizes a no-inventory model that places orders post-purchase, thereby minimizing inventory risks. Furthermore, it collaborates with major Chinese malls such as Tmall, JD.com, and Douyin, expanding sales channels by optimizing merchandising and promotions for each category. In terms of logistics, the company leverages cross-border logistics expertise and is expanding its business to include offline store openings and local promotional support.

The funds raised will be strategically invested in expanding sales channels within China, strengthening PR and user acquisition in Taiwan and Hong Kong, and preparing for market entry into Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. This will support the overseas expansion of Japanese brands while enhancing the company’s presence across Asia.

The company previously raised funds in a seed round in March 2023, with NOW as the lead investor.
