Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi has officially unveiled its next-generation flagship lineup, the Xiaomi 17 series in China. The lineup includes three models: the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro and the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. This new series marks one of Xiaomi’s biggest upgrades in recent years, packing Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and the tech giant’s latest HyperOS 3, based on Android 16. Here’s a closer look at what the Xiaomi 17 Pro brings to the table and when you can expect it to arrive in India. Xiaomi 17 Pro Design and Display The Xiaomi 17 Pro features a 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, 12-bit color depth and a 3,500 nits peak brightness. What makes it even more unique is the 2.7-inch secondary display on the rear, which can be used for selfies, controlling music, or checking notifications. The handset is available in Black, Whit, and Cold Smoke Purple, with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Xiaomi 17 Pro Specifications Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS storage. It houses a 6300 mAh battery that supports 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 22.5W reverse charging. For photography, Xiaomi continues its collaboration with Leica. The device offers a quad-camera setup- a 50-megapixel primary sensor, 50-megapixel ultra-wide and a 50-megapixel 5x periscope telephoto lens, along with a ToF sensor for depth accuracy. On the front, there’s a 50-megapixel selfie shooter, for both selfies and video calls. Although he didn’t confirm the Xiaomi 17 Pro’s launch, but we expect it to debut between February 15 and 28, 2026. In China, the Xiaomi 17 Pro starts at CNY 5,000 (approx. Rs 59,000), and the Indian variant is expected to be priced around Rs 69,999.
