Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about Bret Hart. The wrestling legend recently fired shots at Hulk Hogan. During a recent interview, Hart buried Hogan, claiming that he did not want to help out the new guys. He felt Hulk was very protective of his spot and could not bear to see anyone replacing him at the top of the roster. During a recent episode of Writing with Russo, the writer detailed that Bret Hart was correct, but he needed to understand that people like Hogan also existed in the wrestling business. Vince felt the Hulkster was not the only one protective of his spot on the roster. "Well, Bret's gotta understand. What's he's saying is not wrong. But Bret's gotta understand, man. There are people that fell into his category, and there are people that fell into Hulk's category. Hulk is not the only one who was protecting his spot and didn't want to pass the baton. Trust me, he was not the only one. Trust me, Bret is right. Russo pointed out that both stars had a very different experience in the business. He felt Hogan was the top guy everyone was gunning for, and several stars wanted to take his spot. The veteran writer felt Bret Hart did not have to deal with that intense competition of people going after his place on the roster. "You gotta go back to Stu Hart, you gotta go back to the dungeon. This is how Bret was taught. This was ingrained in Bret. So I get it one thousand percent. Hulk had a different kind of upbringing in the business. And Hulk was in a business where everybody wanted his spot. I don't know if Bret was ever in that position. There was a time when everybody in the business wanted Hulk's spot. So Bret is correct but let's not point out Hulk because there are a lot of wrestlers that went down that same road."Bret Hart has bad blood with quite a few wrestlers in the business. On previous occasions also, he has openly called out the likes of Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, Goldberg, Triple H, and Ric Flair.
