A recently injured WWE star has updated fans with a powerful message about his struggles amid the challenging and grueling road to recovery. Last month, Ridge Holland suffered an injury during a significant match for a TNA filming in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
At the time, Holland was battling TNA star Moose in the ring. Unfortunately, Holland landed awkwardly on his left leg, causing the match to be stopped immediately.
A video arrived on social media showing that Holland couldn’t put weight on that leg and needed assistance from Moose and a TNA official to get backstage.

More recently, Holland underwent surgery for the injury. On his Instagram, he shared an image of his leg with a boot on, accompanied by the message, “Let’s get this fixed!”
Saturday brought a post-surgery update from Holland, after he had successful surgery for his left leg injury. In his video message, also on his Instagram, he spoke about the injury setback and his road to recovery.

“For the past seven years, it’s been a bit of a bumpy ride with the wrestling business, you know? Just when I start to get rolling, something happens,” he said, adding, “[With] TNA, had a couple of good matches, then this happens.”
“Again, we heal, we recover, we march forward, and I’m looking forward to coming back and getting in the best shape of my life,” he told fans.
Holland continued that he’s using all the injuries as “lessons for his kids or anyone else” who wants them.
“No matter what happens to you, really, there’s always a way back if you just believe,” he shared.

Holland, 37, is a former professional rugby league player who signed with WWE and began performing with NXT in 2018. More recently, he joined WWE Evolve and has participated in various matches as part of the TNA invasion angle with NXT.
His debut on TNA television arrived just last month, so the injury certainly came at an unfortunate time. However, Holland’s update demonstrates his strong resilience and perseverance in not letting this setback deter him from achieving his goals.
