An unexpected guest is reportedly scheduled for Friday’s episode of “WWE SmackDown.” WWE United States Champion Sami Zayn is scheduled to put his gold on the line in another open challenge. PWInsider reports that “NXT” star Je’Von Evans is set to answer the challenge. This won’t be the first time Evans has appeared on the blue brand, as he was featured on the show to help promote “WWE x AAA World’s Collide” earlier this year. Zayn has been holding open challenges in honor of John Cena’s retirement tour. The WWE Women’s Championship is scheduled to be at stake, as titleholder Tiffany Stratton will face Nia Jax and Jade Cargill in a triple threat match. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will be in attendance to address his upcoming “Crown Jewel” match against Seth Rollins. Plus, the team of Michin and B-Fab will take on WWE Women’s United States Champion Giulia and Kiana James. Reports have also claimed that several “WWE Raw” stars are backstage, and time will tell if they will ultimately appear on “SmackDown.” Several other names, such as the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest, and Aleister Black figure to be at least mentioned in some capacity during the show. There are also questions surrounding Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre of The Secret Hervice now that Piper Niven is out of action due to a reported neck injury.
