WWE Legend Rikishi Breaks Silence on Unexpected Surgery

WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi has shared a heartfelt message expressing his gratitude after undergoing a recent, unexpected surgery that forced him to alter his plans. Taking to Instagram, Rikishi posted a photograph featuring himself alongside his family, prominently including his twin sons, Jimmy and Jey Uso. Accompanying the photo was a message reflecting on his recent health scare. “God is amazing. Grateful to be alive. We share blessings today and forever more,” Rikishi wrote. This poignant message resonated with fans, who filled the comments section with messages of support and well wishes for the former Intercontinental Champion. Among the supportive comments was one from Rikishi’s daughter-in-law, Naomi (married to Jimmy Uso). Naomi simply commented that the men pictured are “my guys.” Currently, Naomi is away from WWE programming as she is pregnant, preparing Rikishi to welcome another grandchild into the family. In October 2025, PWInsider reported that the WWE Hall of Famer had experienced “a health issue that came up suddenly,” necessitating an unexpected surgery. This sudden health problem forced Rikishi to withdraw from several previously scheduled appearances. This wasn't the first time health issues affected his plans; he also had to pull out of a planned appearance at Nostalgia Con in Houston, Texas, back in December 2024 due to illness. While Rikishi focuses on his recovery, his sons, The Usos, remain key figures on WWE programming. They are currently embroiled in the complex dynamics surrounding Roman Reigns and The Vision (Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed) on the SmackDown brand. With Survivor Series: WarGames approaching on November 29th, it's highly likely The Usos will be involved, potentially teaming with Reigns and CM Punk against The Vision in the Men's WarGames match, though official participants are yet to be confirmed. Naomi's return timetable following her pregnancy is currently unknown.
