WWE shared a new video on their X on Sunday morning, seemingly teasing the return of a significant star to the ring or their various shows. The brief video features some ominous music and a shot of someone dressed in a suit with shiny shoes. However, it simply focuses on their footsteps and ends within 15 seconds. There is no caption or message from WWE with the video, which could indicate that whoever is in the video will appear on WWE’s “Monday Night Raw.” It could also be a tease that someone won’t return for weeks or months. The mysterious clip prompted WWE fans to share their best guesses of which superstar might be in the video, including one WWE star who has been out of the spotlight for a bit. Another X commenter said, “John Cena’s final opponent Gunther !! It’s worth noting that Jericho is currently under an AEW contract. However, former WWE and WCW worker Vince Russo suggested in a SportsKeeda WrestleBinge video that there may have been a conversation between John Cena and Tony Khan’s company. “Gunther doesn’t wear socks. One of the show’s focuses will be building towards the Nov. 1 “Saturday Night’s Main Event,” where Jey Uso and CM Punk will battle for the vacated WWE World Heavyweight Championship. John Cena’s final match is scheduled for next Saturday Night’s Main Event, on Dec. 13, which is his official last appearance on the retirement tour. Cena doesn’t have an opponent yet, and there is heavy speculation it could be the ring general GUNTHER who battles the legend in his final match. However, fans would certainly go wild if WWE flipped the script and teased someone entirely different in their video.
