A WWE faction might be adding a new member after a key player on “NXT” left the company. NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx had been together on WWE TV as members of Fatal Influence. Nyx was written off “NXT” after failing to come to terms on a new deal with WWE.
Nyx was attacked by an unknown talent during the Sept. 23 episode of the developmental brand. On Tuesday, Lainey Reid revealed that she was the one who ambushed Nyx. Reid claimed that Nyx never belonged in Fatal Influence before admitting that she also attacked Lola Vice at “NXT No Mercy” to help Jayne retain her championship.

Lainey Reid’s Motivation
Reid was expected to challenge Sol Ruca for the WWE Speed Championship at “NXT No Mercy.” Just before the event took place, WWE senior vice president of talent development and creative, Shawn Michaels, revealed that Reid wasn’t medically cleared to compete. Jaida Parker took her place but was unable to dethrone Ruca.
During her segment with Fatal Influence, Reid said she defied the doctor’s orders by getting physical in the NXT Women’s Championship match. Some fans have speculated that this might be a swerve and Reid could be taking credit for the actual attacker’s work. Fans on social media have theorized that Blake Monroe could’ve been the real assailant. Monroe lost a weaponized steel cage match to Jordynne Grace before Jayne defeated Vice.
If Reid is telling the truth, then she may have secured a spot in the Fatal Influence stable. When Jayne and Henley found Nyx unconscious backstage, the NXT Women’s Champion said it was time to drop her from the group anyway. Henley agreed before the two walked off. Nyx revealed on social media that while she was grateful for her opportunities in WWE, she was uncertain about her future based on the terms of the contract she was offered.
